S4-Ep.6 The New Year’s Episode - In Which Mum Becomes A Drag King Called Colin

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Wow! 2019 already?  Mum and Stacey are talking about the history of New Year's Day and why we make resolutions.  Mum still has some cracker jokes to tell, and she lets us know why she doesn't celebrate New Year.  Stacey has a story about a man that wins a bookshop in a raffle, and worries for pigs in Scandinavia.

We hear from Joanna about her New Year resolution to become a drag king... and now Mum wants to be a drag king called Colin.

Kipper is here to tell Mouse and Weens how he gets through New Year.

This week, Mum's Cabana Boy is Spud from The Comedy Cast.  Find out where he's hiding the chorizo.

Jingles and most of the music are by Stacey and Owen Frost.

It's week three of the Rough Giraffe Christmas, and this week we're talking Christmas Presents! Carla and Zoe from Number One Rerun Podcast ask Kipper what his favourite present ever was.

We hear from Michelle, Victoria, Alex, Jason and Stork telling us about gifts of Christmases past.

S4-Ep.4 The Christmas Dinner Episode - In Which Mum Puts Stilettos On A Turkey

It's time to stuff the goose and gobble down some turkey! That's right, it's DINNER TIME!  Mum and Stacey are back with their second Christmas Special Episode all about the wonderful Christmas dinner.  Mum tells us what she had for dinner last year - it involved a lot of beans and bubbles, but not much meat.  Mum has been looking at different Christmas meals from around the world to see whether something else takes her fancy.  Stacey tells us about the history of Brussels sprouts and explains how turkeys got their name.  She also has some unrelated news about a worrying fashion trend this Christmas.

We have another round of Guess Who's Not Coming to Dinner, where the listener needs to identify a dead person of history from the clues given.

Kipper joins the gang to tell us what he likes to eat for Christmas dinner, and he is asked a question by John and Andy of the fabulous podcast/radio show Dredgeland.  Find their show on your podcatcher or at their website http://dredgeland.com/.

Mum's Cabana Boy this week is James from one of Mum's favourite podcasts The Bottomless Pit Podcast.  You can find the podcast here https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-bottomless-pit-podcast/id1260983563?mt=2

S4-Ep.3 The History of Christmas Episode - In Which Mum Avoids a Viking’s Mistletoe Kiss

Merry Christmas everyone!  It's our first weekly Christmas episode and this week we're talking about THE HISTORY OF CHRISTMAS.  We're going all the way back to the time of the dinosaurs, to see how they celebrated Christmas...OK, maybe that's an exaggeration but we go pretty far back.  Romans, Egyptians, Puritans, and Victorians, we got them all!  Mum talks about the origin of Father Christmas, and reveals how old Rudolph is.  There's also a Christmas related Guess Who Isn't Coming To Dinner.  Stacey tells us about the less romantic side of mistletoe; and has an unrelated news story about a man who refuses to act his age.

The delightful Giles from The Filmmaker's Podcast has a question for Kipper about the Office Party.  Find Giles' podcast here http://thefilmmakerspodcast.com/

This week's Cabana Boy is played by Chris of The Movie Bunker Podcast.  Find Chris's podcast here https://themoviebunkerpodcast.podbean.com/
